Keno Methods That Make Money
It will not usually be thought of as the most lucrative game in the world of betting, but keno has massive amounts of devout players. And so it should! It’s a constantly entertaining lotto-ish game that’s uncomplicated to master, abundantly available in many assorted formats, and one that will return mega-dollars for players who master its innumerable subtle intricacies. But let’s start with the beginner’s rules for now.
When explaining keno to novices, some gambling masters compare it to the lottery. This is at least in some measure apt, in that both games are basically numerical. But to take that comparison too far would be to undervalue the endless unique traits that make keno so compelling. Not like bingo, keno gamblers have the power to pick the numbers for every card.
Keno cards have a total of eighty numbers, but the player is given an extra level of personal responsibility by being able to pick as numerous (or as few) numbers as he feels they need. And it doesn’t take a super genius to figure out how to fill out a card: all you do is circle or otherwise mark all your picked numbers with a good oldmarker like you had back in school.
Once you’ve selected your numbers, take your card back to the girl at the keno booth. The person will record those numbers and then give you a receipt. Don’t lose this (potentially) valuable piece of paper! Even if the clerk remembers your loud shirt and wants help out, without a winning ticket on you, you will win exactly $.00 for your actions.
Now there you have strategy #1: always be sure to keep your keno ticket. Let’s move to something a little more useful, shall we?
Now that you’ve checked off your numbers, settle into a comfortable keno booth and watch the action take place on the monitor. That’s where the winning numbers are displayed for all to see. If you’ve got winning numbers, mark your card accordingly. Sake care not to drag your feet, or sit there praising yourself for too great a length of time. You really want to get up to the keno booth to collect your winnings, and then a new round of keno will surely get going within 5 minutes.
Strategy number 2: always go back to the keno stand on time!
Assuming you don’t trust yourself to beat that five-minute margin each time, you always retain the option of purchasing a "multi-race" card. These include the same set of your picked numbers on anywhere from 2 to twenty cards. When the max amount of rounds (the same as the number of tickets) is finished, you will then be able to get off your lazy rump and go redeem your winnings.
Another alternative is referred to as a "stray and play" keno slip, which usually lets you make number selection for thirty keno rounds or more. Hell, you can take vacation to Greece and not have to worry about getting back in time to redeem your numbers. Most "stray and play" game cards are good for up to a whole year after purchase!
So now you know a couple necessary techniques for winning keno. If you are an experienced keno player, they might seem to be very obvious. However, it will not hurt to bone up on the fundamentals, and if you are a novice player, every bit of advice will help make your keno games more entertaining.
